Music Conservatory, Band, Drumline

Welcome to the Conservatory of Music at Hill Country Christian School! Our staff of talented musicians eagerly awaits the opportunity to work with your child. Students may enroll in the Conservatory any time from June to February, and they will be placed with instructors as openings become available. Consult the enrollment form for private lesson offerings. Enrollment in Band and Drumline takes place in August.

Mission Statement: The mission of the Conservatory of Music at Hill Country Christian School of Austin is to provide weekly opportunities for individual students to discover and develop God's gift of music through the building of strong musical skills, while establishing a life-long appreciation for the Arts.

Conservatory Philosophy
We will fulfill our mission by:
Providing a staff of talented Christian musicians who are experienced educators;
Fostering a safe, nurturing environment, enabling students to grow in confidence, self-control, patience and sensitivity;
Allowing students to work one-on-one with caring adults who serve as mentors and role models;
Guiding students to glorify God through the learning process and the responsible use of their gifts;
Encouraging students to share their musical gifts in the community through various outreach activities.

Recitals and Community Outreach

Conservatory students perform at two recitals each school year. For our Winter Recitals and Community Outreach, students perform Christmas carols at nursing and retirement homes, sharing Christ's love by giving personalized Christmas cards to every member of the audience. For our Spring Recitals and Community Outreach, students perform classical works. Students collect pantry items to donate to Hill Country Community Ministries, which feeds needy school-aged children.
