Visual Arts
At Hill Country Christian School, we cultivate the innate creativity imbued in each and every student. As beings created in the image of a creative God, our students are ready to be grounded in the foundations of Western civilization through an in-depth study in the classical, core curriculum, enriched with study of the history of the visual arts and the important role they played in the development of civilization and Western thought. Students in the seventh through twelfth grades have the opportunity to choose a Studio Art elective. Tenth grade students take a Music and Art Seminar as a part of the sophomore Humanities curriculum. Lower School students explore the visual arts through weekly art classes, and classroom teachers incorporate the joy of artistic expression throughout their curriculum.
