Hill Country Christian School’s soccer program began in 2012 with a middle school team. The team won the AIPL District Championship in 2013. The school’s varsity program began in 2014. The varsity team was undefeated in district play, moving through the playoffs to ultimately finish second in state for the 2014-2015 season, allowing only five goals to be scored against them throughout all of district and post-season play. In the 2015-2016 season, the varsity team again finished second in state, scoring 81 goals and allowing only two goals by opponents in district play.

Freshman Dannah Fritschle was selected as the 2015-2016 TAPPS Division III District 3 MVP for boys’ varsity soccer. Dannah is one of several girls who play for the Hill Country Knights boys’ soccer team, as the school does not field a girls’ team. In addition to the MVP award, the 2015-2016 team had eight first team all-district players, three second team all-district, and one honorable mention all-district. Click here to watch a KVUE News story about our 2015-2016 team and District MVP Dannah Fritschle.
