My daughters, as being their mom has given me a desire to make them proud.

What do you believe makes Hill Country distinct?
We are united by our love for Jesus and our desire to serve God well. It is a place where everyone serves with joy.

What do you love about working at Hill Country?
I love the biblical worldview that our teachers share with our students. Teachings about God are woven throughout the lessons on music, art, literature, science, and even math! The teachers genuinely inspire their students in unique ways. The Holy Spirit is present here.

What is your favorite scripture?
On the last day of the feast, the great day, Jesus stood up and cried out, If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.” John 7:37-38

Tell us about one of your significant accomplishments.
The two swim schools I started in Austin in 2004 and 2009 have provided lifelong, lifesaving swim skills to tens of thousands of children. I am proud of that legacy of safety and lifelong enjoyment of water. Moving from swim lessons to Christian education seemed like a natural transition, given my favorite scripture!

Fun Fact
In 2011, I swam four miles and in 2012, I paddled 10 miles to raise funds and support drowning prevention efforts on behalf of the charity Colin’s Hope. I served on their board of directors and helped develop their first-ever budget and long-term strategic plan. Each year, I serve as the Assistant Race Director for the annual Colin’s Hope Kids Triathlon.
