I was originally born in Jacksonville, Florida, and moved to Austin in 2007. I majored in political science and minored in communication at Texas A&M University. After college, I worked for the state government as well as in the Texas Capitol during a legislative session. I joined the faculty at Hill Country in 2019.

Tennis and soccer

Walks and bike rides

What is an interesting fact about you?
My sister and I, in middle school, started selling baked goods and cakes to teachers and eventually made a wedding cake for a complete stranger!

If you could meet one historical figure or famous person, who would it be and why?
William Wilberforce. He successfully changed the culture of an entire nation, as well as ended the slave trade in Britain.

What is your favorite Scripture or quote?
He says, Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth. Psalm 46:10

Who has had the greatest influence on your life and why?
My mom; she’s the strongest, most faithful follower of Christ I know.

What do you believe makes Hill Country distinct, other than the tight-knit community?
The continuous focus on improving the education provided, tied with the relational aspect that is developed between faculty and students, furthering the educational goal of the school.

What do you love about teaching at Hill Country?
The curriculum we offer is unique in that its focus is beyond having students memorize facts but rather on learning how to learn. Through a biblical worldview, students are prepared to think analytically and critically about the world around them.
