Legacy Scholarship Fund
Our graduates. Our legacy.
Hill Country Christian School is the recipient of a generous gift to establish an endowment to provide college scholarships to at least two graduates each year. The Legacy Scholarship Fund was created in memory of Stephen Kent Fritschle, who passed away suddenly in 2008. Steve was a highly respected engineer, community leader, philanthropist, and devoted husband to his wife, Melinda, dedicated father to daughter, Teresa, son, Cliff, and beloved grandfather of Hill Country students Stephen and Dannah. He was passionate about higher education and had a heart for those who worked hard to overcome difficult obstacles.
The vision of the Legacy Scholarship Fund is to provide financial assistance to students in their pursuit of higher education and in their desire to contribute to the advancement of the Gospel through those pursuits. It is the desire of the benefactors to grow the fund so as many graduates as possible can pursue their dreams of a college education. To join this effort and invest in Hill Country graduates make a gift online today.
“The Legacy Scholarship has blessed me tremendously. In a family with four kids, I knew
paying for college would be a challenge. I am grateful for the award and the part it has played in
my college experience. It has allowed me to attend a four-year university and will also
help me to achieve my goal of becoming a teacher.”
Kendal Burleson, Class 2015
