Tuition Assistance

At Hill Country, we strive to make high-quality Christian education accessible to as many families as possible. We offer several options that can either reduce the cost of tuition or make the investment more manageable.

Tuition Assistance

Need-based tuition assistance may reduce your tuition cost. We use FACTS, a third-party agency, to determine eligibility through a confidential and impartial process. Many factors are considered — including income, assets, unusual expenses, and the size of your family.

Multi-Student Discount

Our discount rates are 5% for the second student, 10% for the third student, 15% for the fourth student, and 20% for the fifth student.

Payment Options

Tuition payments may be made annually, semi-annually, or monthly through FACTS. Many families agree that breaking tuition down into 12 monthly payments makes it more feasible.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does Hill Country determine if a family is eligible for reduced tuition?

Hill Country Christian School uses FACTS, a trusted third-party financial processor of tuition assistance applications that serves schools nationwide. FACTS not only examines annual income, but also considers many factors that make up a family’s overall financial picture. Families are notified of their tuition assistance award via email, and the tuition agreement is adjusted accordingly.

Is there a cap on available funds?

While Hill Country Christian School is pleased to offer tuition assistance, funds are not unlimited.
Families who need help affording private education should apply as soon as possible.

Could applying for tuition assistance diminish the chances of my child being accepted to Hill Country Christian School?

No. Admission and FACTS applications are reviewed separately, and applying for tuition assistance has no bearing on your child’s admissibility.

  • What types of tuition assistance or financial aid are available?
    Tuition & Aid

At Hill Country, we offer need-based tuition assistance determined through FACTS, a confidential third-party process that considers income, assets, expenses, and family size. Awards can cover up to 25% of Kindergarten tuition and up to 50% for Grades 1–12. Families can also benefit from a multi-student discount ranging from 5% to 20% for multiple children enrolled. Multi-student discounts cannot be combined with school-awarded tuition asisstance. Flexible payment plans are available annually, semi-annually, or monthly to help manage tuition costs.

We encourage families to apply for both our Tuition Assistance program and the Texas Education Freedom Account (TEFA) vouchers. If financial awards are granted in both programs, families will need to choose which program they want to use for assistance. Aid awarded is not stackable.

    How to Apply:
    – New students contact the Admission Office to start the process.
    – Current families email financialassistance@hccsa.org for application instructions.
    – FACTS charges a $45 application fee per family, and applications are processed in about two weeks once documents are submitted.

We encourage families to apply for both TEFA and our Tuition Assistance program to explore financial award options. Our participation is guided by preserving our Christ-centered mission, curriculum, and autonomy. Learn more about TEFA and how it works with our school here.

Please note that if you receive need-based tuition assistance through FACTS, which considers income, assets, and family size, you are not eligible for the multi-student discount, as these benefits do not stack. Flexible payment plans, including monthly options, are also available to help manage tuition costs. Learn more about our tuition assistance and discounts.

  • Does the school offer scholarships?
    Tuition & Aid

Hill Country Christian School does not offer a scholarship program. However, the school provides need-based tuition assistance to support families who demonstrate financial need. Awards cover up to 25% of Kindergarten tuition and up to 50% for Grades 1–12. Families must reapply annually, and the application fee is $45. Alternatively, families who do not receive tuition assistance may be eligible for multi-student discounts, but these do not stack with tuition assistance. For details on how to apply, new families can contact the Admission Office, and current families can email financialassistance@hccsa.org. Learn more about our Tuition Assistance program.
