The theatre program at Hill Country Christian School offers Upper School students the opportunity to utilize their God-given talents for artistic expression. They can see and use acting as a way to externalize ideas and feelings. The ability to communicate well on stage creates an individual who can express thoughts and ideas both through movement and characterization. The goal of theatre arts classes is to educate students on how to interpret and analyze the author’s intentions and to be able to effectively communicate their mood while learning to enjoy the process of acting. Students exercise their talents before an audience during productions throughout the school year.
Our “Stars of the Knight” theatre students performed at the 2015 Fringe Festival in Edinburgh, Scotland. Only 40 schools in the U.S. and Canada were invited. Hill Country was selected in the first round, making us one of the top 15 schools.
