Before moving to Austin and starting at Hill Country in the summer of 2022, I lived in Washington and California and was the Admissions Coordinator at Legacy Christian School in San Jose, California. My husband, Brian, and I have two children at Hill Country, classes of 2029 and 2032.

I have a twin sister.
If you could meet one historical figure or famous person, who would it be and why?
English Puritan, John Owen. He lived a horrible life of sin before coming to faith in Christ. When he became a pastor, he was so encouraging and gentle to those who struggled with their own sin. I would want to talk more with him about his relationship with Jesus.

I grew up in Maryland and had the amazing opportunity to live in Thailand as a young teen. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Texas A&M University. I moved to Austin in 2014, and before joining Hill Country in 2025, I worked in a church and parachurch ministry—locally and overseas (in both Turkey and Greece!)—focusing on discipleship, mission, and mobilization.

What do you love about working at Hill Country?
I’m always impressed by the caliber of students at Hill Country, demonstrated by their spiritual maturity, servant-heartedness, and leadership. They are so beyond where I was in school, and it’s a joy to play a small part in building up the next generation of Christ’s Kingdom.

I’m originally from San Diego, California. My husband and I moved our family to Austin in 2016, and that’s when I began working at Hill Country. Before that, I studied business management at San Diego Mesa College and worked in bookkeeping, accounting, human resources, office management, and as an administrative assistant. We have two current Hill Country students, Classes of 2026, and 2029.
What is your favorite sport?
I’m a huge NFL football fan. Go, Chargers!
What is your favorite hobby or one of your favorite things?
Anything related to the water or beach. I just love being in the water!

Salmon is my favorite food.

Other than the Bible, what’s your all-time favorite book?
I can’t choose just one. I love to read!
What is an interesting fact about you?
I love adventure, hiking, and travel! On one of my favorite trips of all time, I hiked the Cinque Terre in Italy and then the Fira to Oia hike on Santorini in Greece. Being on trails with such beautiful views was a dream trip for me!
If you could meet one historical figure or famous person, who would it be and why?
C.S. Lewis. His books have always piqued my interest and inspired me in my walk with the Lord.

My favorite verse right now is Numbers 6:24-26, The Lord bless you and keep you; The Lord make His face shine upon you, And be gracious to you; The Lord lift up His countenance upon you, And give you peace.

Too many people to list. I’m grateful to have had so many people invest in and disciple me through the years. All of them love the Lord and encouraged me in my walk.

Wednesday, in elementary chapel, author, publisher, and former educator Ashley Wall, M.Ed., gave our students an inspiring behind-the-scenes look at how books come to life!
Mrs. Wall shared how every story begins as a simple idea, developing through mock-ups, drafts, and artwork revisions until it becomes a final product. She encouraged our students to recognize that God has placed creative ideas inside each of them to bring forth and create for His glory. 💡🎨

What a gift to gather at the flagpole outside the MAC this morning for See You At The Pole!
From a handful of Texas youth praying over campuses in 1990 to millions of students worldwide today, this student-led movement reminds us of the power of humble, united prayer.
This morning, our students, faculty, and parents joined together in small groups to pray for:

Rooted in this year’s theme, "Come to Me," our prayer is that God draws hearts to Jesus Christ—our only source of lasting hope and peace. "Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." — Matthew 11:28

As we celebrate 30 years of Hill Country Christian School, we’re looking back at some of the people and moments God has woven into our story—including these snapshots from our 2006 District Champion football team.
The uniforms may have changed and the faces on the field are different today, but God’s faithfulness remains the same.
For 30 years, generations of students, families, faculty, coaches, and friends have called Hill Country home. Each has left a mark. Each has helped shape the community we know today. And throughout every season, God has been faithful.

It was early 1990, and a handful of Texas youth on a church retreat decided to pray over schools. They gathered around the school flagpoles at night, asking the Lord to save lives, redeem families, bless leaders, and heal communities. Later that year, the students shared their story at a large summer camp, challenging students to join them in seeking the Lord for their communities. The first official See You At The Pole (SYATP) took place that fall, on September 12, 1990, with 56,000 students gathering at the flagpoles of 1,200 campuses to pray for their classmates, teachers, leaders, and nation. The following year, over 800,000 students participated in the U.S. and abroad. By 1994, over 2 million students were seeking Christ for their schools and nations, and in 2005 had reached into countries in Africa, Asia, and Europe.
What makes See You At The Pole unique? It was started by students and led by students who want to see God’s Kingdom come and His will be done in their communities, at their schools, and in their lives. Each year, Hill Country Christian School of Austin hosts a See You At The Pole event, inviting students and families to pray. We gather at the flagpole in front of the MAC to pray in small groups and as a whole for God’s work in our community and country. God told Solomon that “if My people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land” (2 Chron. 7:14).
Next Wednesday, September 23, Hill Country students will gather again to seek the face of God, to humble themselves, to ask Him to bless our school, to forgive our nation, to heal our communities, to pour out His love and grace and truth on our school, nation, and world. This year’s theme is from Matthew 11:28, “Come to Me.” There is no other source of lasting peace or hope than the person of Jesus Christ. Our students will pray for God to draw all people to His Son to find eternal life in His grace and peace. Please join us in praying for them as they gather to pray.

Today, on the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001, we pause to remember and honor the nearly 3,000 lives lost that day—the men and women who went to work at the World Trade Center and the Pentagon and never returned home; the firefighters, police officers, paramedics, and other first responders who ran toward danger to save people they had never met; and the passengers and crew of United Flight 93, ordinary Americans whose extraordinary courage helped prevent an even greater tragedy.
We remember those we lost with gratitude and solemn respect. We remember the families whose lives were forever changed. And we honor the courage, sacrifice, and selflessness displayed on one of the darkest days in our nation’s history.

What happens when you step inside a giant camera?📸
Our students experienced the science of light firsthand through an immersive Camera Obscura lesson! They observed real-time images forming through an aperture, experimented with different aperture sizes, and used their observations to connect the physics of light and image formation to the design of their own pinhole cameras.
There’s something powerful about learning when you can experience it for yourself. 🔬💡
