Congratulations to alum Ryan Chu '20, sophomores Kinsley D. and Lauren G., and juniors Ryan H. and Samara S. for their winning monologues in the Student Monologue Challenge! The competition was hosted by the Manhattan Theatre Club (MTC), which is renowned for creating productions with playwrights that appeared on Broadway, and won Tony Awards and Pulitzer Prizes. - Our students' winning selections can be found at https://loom.ly/MxFbqx0 . - Additionally, our theatre department received an invitation from the Director of Education at MTC to participate in their Theatrelink program next spring. Students will collaborate to write an original play based on an MTC production, confer with MTC teaching artists, and perform in a student-written production. Way to go, Knights!
