I attended Singapore Bible College and earned a Bachelor of Church Music, majoring in voice and minoring in organ. I also have a Master of Music in Music Education from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. I moved to Austin after my husband and I were married in 2007. We have one son at Hill Country, class of 2029.

Before I started at Hill Country in 2022, I taught Elementary Music at Regents, was the Lower School Music Teacher at Austin Classical School, and directed the Upper School choir at Austin Classical.

What is your favorite hobby or one of your favorite things?

Knitting is one of my favorite hobbies. I also love to read Christian historical or thriller non fiction books during my down time.

What is your favorite food?

Any Asian food.

What is an interesting fact about you?

I love to work jigsaw puzzles with a minimum of 1000 pieces.

If you could meet one historical figure or famous person, who would it be and why?

I would like to meet the composer George Frederic Handel. He was a key composer in the Baroque period and the “Messiah” oratorio is such an important work till today.

What is your favorite Scripture or quote?

“I will never leave you nor forsake you.” Hebrews 13:5b.

What do you believe makes Hill Country distinct?

Hill Country is distinct in that it is a classical school with Christ-centered curriculum and excellence in academics.

What do you love about teaching at Hill Country?

I love the fact that I can teach in a school where I could play a part in imparting spiritual truths to the students through music.
