Dress Up Days
A Hill Country tradition and a fun way for our students to show their school spirit, celebrate the week’s festivities, and build excitement for the big game on Friday, all while enjoying fellowship with their friends!
Pre-K & Elementary
Monday: School Holiday

Middle school students will earn House Points for the number of participants each dress-up day, Tuesday–Friday.
Students must follow the principle of appropriateness in their choices during dress-up days, as described in the school dress code.
Homecoming Court Selections
Nominees will be six juniors and six seniors chosen by their classmates.
Homecoming Court criteria for nomination should not be based on physical beauty or popularity but on godly character. The student-established criteria state: “Students nominated will be classmates who inspire others in good times and bad, glorify God through service to others, and live lives of strong moral character, serving as an example to the younger students at Hill Country. Their servant leadership and strong moral character reveal their heart for God.”
Friday, October 16: RALLY!
8:15–9:00 a.m.: Elementary School Pep Rally
Located in the MAC. Check in with Visitor Aware (or driver’s license) at the MAC to attend the Pep Rally (Kinder Bridge-5th) and Elementary Knights Games.
9:15–2:05 p.m.: Elementary School Knights Games
Join us on the Knight Field:
- Kinder & 1st: 9:15–10:25 a.m.
- 4th & 5th: 11:45 a.m.–12:45 p.m.
- 2nd & 3rd Grade: 12:55–2:05 p.m.
Check in at the MAC before heading out to the field.
2:25–2:40 p.m.: High School Relay Race
This competition challenges high school students at each grade level across four distinct stations. The ultimate winners will be those who display the most team and school spirit!
2:40–3:15 p.m.: Middle and High School Pep Rally
Located in the MAC, students gather to play and see the Homecoming Court Nominees announced.
3:15–3:45 p.m.: Homecoming Court Rehearsal
Only nominees and their parents should join us in the MAC for this rehearsal.
3:30-5:00 p.m.: High School Student Tailgate
The High School Tailgate will take place immediately following the High School & Middle School Pep Rally, 3:30-5:00 p.m. in the PAC parking lot. This is for high school students only. Food and games will be provided. Parents can directly pick up from the PAC for the Tailgate only.
Friday Evening, October 16: Game Time
6:15–7:00 p.m.: Middle School House Points
Middle School students should check in with Mrs. Schulenburg at the entrance to earn house points for attending the game.
6:30 p.m.: Elementary Parade: Knightly Spirit
Elementary students and teachers should meet on the track near the north end zone entrance at 6:15 p.m. Look for the grade level signs. The parade will exit onto the grassy field in the south end zone area, and parents must pick up their children immediately following the parade.
6:30–9:00 p.m.: Alumni Tailgate
All Hill Country alumni and alumni parents are invited to join us for a special evening of football and fellowship. Alumni and alumni parents can receive complimentary entry to the game by checking in at the Alumni Check-In Table located next to Ticketing outside the main gate. The alumni hospitality tent will be open offering complimentary dinner and refreshments, providing a dedicated space to connect with former classmates, alumni parents, and faculty. To receive free game entry and dinner, alumni must RSVP by Monday, October 12.
Show your school spirit as we cheer on our Knights. Tickets may be purchased online or at the gate. Prices are $6.00 for adults, and $4.00 for non-Hill Country students. Hill Country Students and faculty, family pass holders, and alumni are free (please check in with the alumni table).
End of Q1: Pep Squad Performance
Halftime: Homecoming Court Presentation
Mr. DeVries and Mrs. Hernandez announce the Homecoming court nominees and crown the king and queen.
Nominees and their parents should gather on the track five minutes (game clock) before halftime.
Concessions (a hot item, a cold treat, beverages, and other snacks) will be available for purchase.
Saturday, October 17: Homecoming Dance
The High School Homecoming Dance will be held at The Oasis Lake Travis, 6:30–9:00 p.m., on Saturday, October 17.
- Event check-in will begin at 6:30 p.m.
- Dancing will start at 7:00 p.m.
- Light desserts will be provided.
- The event will end at 9:00 p.m.
Advance tickets are available online for $60/person and may be purchased until Wednesday, October 14, at 9:00 p.m.. Tickets will be sold at the door for $80 cash or check (no credit or debit cards accepted). For dress code information, see page 36 of the Student and Parent Handbook.
Non-Hill Country Student Dates
Students bringing a non-Hill Country student (must be of the opposite gender) must submit the form below to the High School Office (Portable 9) no later than 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 15.
- Students are permitted to enter the venue 6:30–7:30 p.m. After 7:30 p.m., no additional students or guests will be admitted.
- Hill Country students hosting a non-Hill Country guest for a dance must register and enter together.
- Once students and/or guests leave the dance, they are not permitted to re-enter the event.
