Texas Weather and the State of the School

Dear Hill Country Families,

What a week we have had here in Texas. Snow, sleet, ice, cold, frozen pipes, broken pipes, water leaks. Hoping and praying for a return to more normal weather next week!

Tonight is our official last State of the School meeting.

If you missed them, or if you signed up for Monday (which was canceled due to weather) and cannot make it tonight, please contact my executive assistant. If we have enough interest, we may consider adding one more meeting to ensure everyone has a chance to attend.

My goal in hosting these meetings was threefold:

  1. I believe our school will be as strong as the partnership shared between home and school. With this in mind, I believe this partnership will improve with good communication, and I hope these meetings help you feel more in the loop on what is happening at our school.
  2. I believe firmly in transparent leadership. I want you to know what I know about this school. I hope the transparency is both affirming and encouraging.
  3. I want you to be excited about the future of our school. I think our school has some amazing strengths. I also think our future is ripe with possibilities, and I want you to share in that excitement for a brighter future.

Again, if the four meeting options didn’t work for your schedule, or if this past Monday’s event was the only one that worked, don’t hesitate to contact us. With enough interest, we may schedule one more.

In the meantime, stay warm and enjoy the rest of your week,

Eric DeVries, Head of School
