Football

The Hill Country Knights football program offers teams for students in seventh through twelfth grade. We are a TAPPS Division 1 state power in six man football. The Varsity Knights reached the state semi-finals in 2005, the regional finals three other years, and won multiple district championships. Our offense is famous statewide for its "Hill Country Spread." The Knights are coached by Varsity Head Coach Philip Hudgens, who has been called, "One of the premiere offensive minds in the state of Texas for six man football" and has coached in the TAPPS state all-star game multiple times.

Perhaps the most successful team sport at Hill Country Christian School over the last half-dozen years, the middle school football program has a record of 43-2 since 2006, and has won the Central Texas 6-Man Football League championship three times. Currently competing as an independent, the middle school Knights are coached by Angelo Milicia, who is filling in for Coach Scott Horne while he finishes his tour of duty in Afghanistan with the US Navy. Milicia is assisted by Bart Robertson, Sean Meredith and George Cagle. The Knights are once again expected to have a very strong team in 2011.

A member of the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools and Austin Christian Athletics Association, the Hill Country Christian School Athletics Department focuses on the full development of each student: mind, body, and spirit.
