Before moving to Austin in 2012, I lived in Alabama and Colorado. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in English Teaching from Abilene Christian University, and I worked for a youth ministry at a church here in Austin before joining the Hill Country staff in 2021.

Julie Andrews because I’m the ultimate Sound of Music fan.

Do not be anxious about anything but, in everything, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God and the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7

What do you believe makes Hill Country distinct?
The faculty and staff members here at Hill Country make intentional efforts to help students sculpt not only their own knowledge of the subjects we teach, but also their personal outlooks on life, themselves, and faith. We look at the whole student and focus on walking alongside him or her.

What do you love about teaching at Hill Country?
Something I love about teaching at Hill Country is getting to voice my faith in the classroom. Our class discussions are often derailed by larger “life” questions, which I welcome as formative experiences for students.
