I am a Texas native and studied kinesiology and outdoor leadership at Texas A&M University. I invested 11 years in full-time ministry and taught for 10 years in classical education before joining Hill Country in the fall of 2020. My wife and I have four boys here at Hill Country, Classes of 2027, 2030, 2031, and 2032.

What is your favorite sport?
Basketball, baseball, and football

What is your favorite hobby or one of your favorite things?
Rock climbing, hunting, fishing, camping, hiking, and family time

All of it, but especially barbecue and Asian foods.

I worked in Yellowstone National Park as a 19-year-old.

The Apostle Paul, Charles Spurgeon, James Chalmers, and Teddy Roosevelt

Who has had the greatest influence on your life and why?
My parents, by their strong example of faith and character, along with their selfless investment.

What do you believe makes Hill Country distinct?
A strong commitment to excellence in an environment of grace. This speaks well to the call of Christ for us to walk worthy while being strong in grace.

What do you love about teaching at Hill Country?
The team of professionals who pour into our students makes it a joy to serve alongside them. Our students are the hope of our nation and show great joy in learning and a reverent appreciation for being called to live to a higher calling.
