Engineering

Does your teen love to think outside the box, learn in a hands-on way, and come up with creative solutions to problems? If so, our newly launched Engineering Pathway may be a great fit for him or her!
Engineering is a challenging and rewarding career field that interests many of our middle and high school students. At Hill Country Christian School, we aim to provide a tailored education that opens doors for students, now and in the future. The Engineering Pathway is an exciting opportunity to help students accomplish their goals at Hill Country and beyond.
The Engineering Pathway is open to rising 9th-12th graders who:
Are willing to take on challenging coursework with a heavy emphasis on math, science, and technical skills
Wish to invest their time in extracurricular activities and seminars related to the field of engineering
Will prepare for college by researching, creating, and defending an engineering-specific Senior Thesis project
Admission to this program is based on grades, test scores, application essays, and letters of recommendation. Students who are selected will continue fulfilling all course requirements of our core curriculum while engaging in an additional curated path of classes that deepen understanding of engineering concepts and applications. These courses are taught by subject-matter experts who are dedicated to seeing students achieve their potential.
Graduates receive an Engineering Distinction on their diploma, which provides a competitive edge in the college admissions process, as well as special recognition at Hill Country’s commencement ceremony.
