How to Apply

Thank you for your interest in Hill Country Christian School. Our application may be completed online, but we would first like to speak with you or meet you. Please contact our admissions office at 512-331-7036 or admissions@hccsa.org to begin the conversation about your child’s future as a Hill Country Knight.

This is the best time of year to apply! Accepted applicants are guaranteed placement. The school year will be here soon! We are actively filling our remaining seats. Wait pools are possible. How to Apply for Preschool

Step 1 – Application

Complete the admissions application by clicking the button below. ApplyOnlineA non-refundable application fee is due in order to submit an application.

  • Early Decision: October 1-January 31 | $100 Application Fee
  • Open Enrollment: February 1-May 31 | $150 Application Fee
  • Special Consideration and Mid-Year Transfers: June 1 and Later | $200 Application Fee

Submit the following records within 10 days of completion of the application. Records may be uploaded to Blackbaud via the parent portal (preferred method). Alternatively, copies may be delivered to the school, emailed to admissions@hccsa.org.

  • Copy of birth certificate
  • Copy of immunization records
  • Copy of proof of health insurance
  • Recommendation forms:
    • Personal recommendation
    • Preschool/kindergarten recommendation
  • Copy of custody decree, if applicable

To ensure the best opportunity for admission, we recommend that applications and testing be completed by March 15. After this date, applicants may be ineligible for some participation opportunities.

Step 2 – Assessment

Preschool applicants participate in a play-based assessment to aid in determining their compatibility with the academic environment at Hill Country. The admissions office will contact applicants to schedule an assessment.

Step 3 – Interview

Once the assessment is complete and all student records have been received, the admissions review committee will review the student’s file and determine whether the family will be invited for an interview. We request that both parents attend the interview.

Step 4 – Admissions Decision

Official acceptance (or non-acceptance) will be communicated in writing within two weeks of the family interview or admissions review committee decision.

Step 5 – Enrollment Agreement

Upon the student’s acceptance to the school, parents will receive an enrollment agreement via email. The enrollment agreement must be completed online within 10 days.

Step 6 – Tuition Agreement

Within seven days of completion of the enrollment agreement, parents will receive a tuition agreement via email. The tuition agreement must be completed online within 15 days.

How to Apply for Kindergarten through 12th Grade

Step 1 – Application

  • Copy of all available school records, including most recent report card*
  • TAPPS Previous Athletic Participation Form: for 9th-12th grade athletes only (see below)
  • Recommendation forms:
    • All applicants: personal recommendation
    • Kindergarten applicants: preschool/kindergarten recommendation
    • 1st through 6th grade applicants: teacher recommendations
    • 7th through 12th grade applicants: administrator and three teacher recommendations (math, science, and English)
  • Copy of custody decree, if applicable

* Not needed for kindergarten applicants.

Students applying for preschool-4th grade take an admissions test at Hill Country. The admissions office will contact applicants to schedule testing.

Students applying for 5th grade or higher take an Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE) at Hill Country Christian School or another Austin-area school. Parents must register the student through ISEE’s website at www.iseetest.org. Hill Country’s school code is 447616.

Step 3 – Interview
